Good morning people who keep in step with what God is doing in and through your life.
Genesis 42:6 NIV Now Joseph was the governor of the land, the person who sold grain to all its people. So when Joseph’s brothers arrived, they bowed down to him with their faces to the ground.
I want to share a very important element of understanding God’s prophetic declaration over your life, and it is this:
Don’t add timing to what God has declared.
Joseph had a dream at the age of seventeen that only came to pass when he was thirty-nine.
There is always an appointed time in God, and often, God’s appointed time is different to our desired time.
This is true in the fulfilment of what Father has declared, but it is equally true when it comes to us doing the ‘good works that God has prepared in advance for us to do’ (Ephesians 2:10).
I have often heard people share what God has told them to do and then add a time frame to it that God has not said. Most of the time this is because people want to honour what God has said. But the sad part of this is that, many times, ‘adding times’, only adds pressure.
Staying on track and fulfilling what God has called us to be and to do comes with enough challenges of its own. Jesus was on mission, and with this mission, He had much opposition. Therefore, let’s not add unnecessarily to this!
For others, your waiting has been a very long time.
It is true that, at times, our waiting is because we have not positioned ourselves to step into the fulfilment of what God has said (we need to be honest). If this is the case, repentance and realignment is needed, followed by pursuing God’s intention.
At other times, the delay is simply because it is not yet God’s time. In these situations, we need to keep our eyes on God and stay in faith believing that He who said it will accomplish it.
May we spiritually and accurately discern the times and the seasons in God.
