#5998 – What God Knows

Good morning people who walk in integrity even when no one sees what you do.

Genesis 39:13-15 NIV When she saw that he had left his cloak in her hand and had run out of the house, she called her household servants. “Look,” she said to them, “this Hebrew has been brought to us to make sport of us! He came in here to sleep with me, but I screamed. When he heard me scream for help, he left his cloak beside me and ran out of the house.”

It’s not about what people say, but about what God knows.

We will stand before God and give an account for the decisions we made. Therefore, don’t allow what people say be the determinant of what you do.

What God sees in the secret place is most important, as is the condition of our heart. God alone knows this, and this must be ok with us if we are going to live free from the fear of man that can even come through the voice of false accusation.

At times, when you honour God and walk in your integrity, people may tell lies about you and paint you as the one who is doing wrong. This is what happened with Joseph, and this is what happened repeatedly to Jesus. If we follow Jesus, it will happen to us too.

The question is, “What do we do and how do we respond in these moments?”

I feel some people need to be encouraged today with the right perspective. I want to remind you that God sees and He knows your heart. He sees when you have been falsely accused. He sees when your good has been spoken of in an evil way. He sees the times the accuser has pointed his finger and with compelling words, he has made you to look like a terrible person.

I have been there more than once and it is not easy. I want to speak the healing power of Jesus to every hurt that you have received as a result of walking in your integrity before God and people. May you know the “well done” of God today, yes, even in the absence of human acknowledgement. May you know His grace, His kindness and His strength as you continue to walk in a way that honours God. I bless you today.
