Good morning people who honour God and His Word

Joshua 1:8 Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

Success comes from a life lived by God’s Word. Reading the Bible is great but two things are better.

We must speak God’s Word. The Bible tells us ‘life and death are in the power of the tongue’. Jesus spoke to the enemy ‘It is written’. There is incredible creative power in the words we speak. When we speak forth God’s Word, we are not filling the air with vowels and consonants but with creative life. We must understand the power of a faith-filled tongue. Our lives are largely determined by the words we speak.

We must also think about God’s Word. What we think about during the day determines how we live. The Bible says ‘as a person thinks, so is he’. Our thoughts determine our words and behaviour. Many battles are won or lost in the mind before a word is spoken or a step is made. Worry is focussed thinking
