Good morning people who are called to accurately represent and re-present God.
As royal ambassadors of our Father in heaven who are called to represent and to re-present Him, there are three imperatives that I want to look at over the next few days. May Father speak profoundly to us all.
Accuracy is imperative if we are going to represent and re-present God well.
The word accurate means, ‘exact; correct in all details’.
Close enough is not good enough when it comes to representing God and speaking prophetically.
Let’s look at what the Word says about Jesus.
John 14:8-9 NIV 8 Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.” 9 Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
Hebrews 1:3 NIV The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
When Father called me to be a prophet in 2006, He distinctly said to me, “Steve, if you can’t reveal My heart, don’t speak My Word.”
Many instantly go to the I can’t be perfect mindset, and indeed, we all miss the mark at times. But that doesn’t mean we lower the standard down to our worst moments. The apostle Paul made it clear that he had not yet arrived (Philippians 3:12), and yet he still called people to follow him as he followed Christ (1 Corinthians 11:1 and Philippians 4:9).
God being seen and heard accurately is imperative in the prophetic. Jesus was the prophetic message from the Father to the world. Like Jesus was, we are also called to be a prophetic message from the Father to the world.
If people walk with you, will they end up closer to the Father?
