Good morning people who explore the depths of prayer that is available to us all.
I heard the Lord say, “Prayer is not one-dimensional.”
Philippians 4:6-7 NIV Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 6:18 NIV And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
In every situation and on all occasions…pray.
Prayer, petition, thanksgiving, requests…pray with all kinds of prayers and requests.
There is too much comparison between people on how we pray. The key is that we pray.
The disciples did not ask Jesus to teach them how to pray. They asked Him to teach them to pray (Luke 11:1). The most important part of prayer is that we pray. Oh, for us to get this simple and life-changing truth today.
The right prayer is the prayer that comes from the heart. Intimacy with God is the right soil for prayer to be birthed and expressed back to God. A desire and a focus on God’s will above our own is great fuel for prayers that please the Father.
Pour out your heart, lift up your voice, declare with passion and authority, quietly contemplate the goodness of God and give thanks to Him, rebuke the devil, prophesy life that comes from hearing the Word of God…pray with all kinds of prayers and requests.
Pray in the Spirit and with your understanding…pray both ways (1 Corinthians 14:15).
Here’s the key: just pray, and then pray some more, and then keep on praying continually.
Worship, praise, declare, confess, profess, request, petition…pray with all kinds of prayers and requests.
