#5723 – Blessed Obedience

Good morning people who overflow with the blessing of God through your obedience.

Proverbs 8:32 MEV Now therefore listen to me (wisdom), O you children, for blessed are those who keep my ways.

Many grab the “I am blessed” statement without partnering with the key that unlocks it over their lives – obedience. The two are inseparable.

Keeping God’s ways (wisdom) is more important than simply knowing God’s ways.

I’ve had many conversations over the decades with Christians who say, “I know that” when it comes to a scripture. While that’s wonderful (and it is essential to know what God’s Word says), it is completely useless in our lives unless we live according to the truth contained in the verse.

Obedience is a big deal to God, it really is.

Here’s what I heard the Lord said to me recently: Holiness has become synonymous with legalism, while it should be synonymous with freedom.

Holiness is also inseparable from obedience to God, and all of this is good, it is very good!

There is indescribable freedom in living according to God’s eternal truth. There is rich blessing that is entered into by those who meditate on God’s Word day and night (Psalms 1:1-3) and then put it into practice.

God wants you to be blessed, and you will be blessed if you keep God’s ways.
