#5692 – Perceiving Understanding

Good morning people who live looking through the eyes of the Spirit.

Proverbs 1:2 MEV To know wisdom and instruction, to perceive the words of understanding.

We need to know the Spirit of wisdom and receive instruction from Him. We also need to perceive the words of understanding.

The word perceive means to separate mentally (or distinguish). This is such a great need in the church today.

Because the world says something is ok does not make it ok. The persuasive arguments and emotionally charged stories do not legitimise wrong theology and doctrine. Truth is not subjective, therefore, we need to view everything through the lens of the Holy Spirit and get Father’s perspective.

While the word understanding means understanding, knowledge and meaning, it is very interesting to note that it comes from the very same root word as perceive. God is stating this essential need to separate mentally (or distinguish) twice, and whenever God does this, we must listen and heed what He is saying.

It’s time for the sons and daughters of God to distinguish the words that need to be distinguished.

It’s time for the children of God to ‘come out from among the world and to be separate from its philosophies and ways of thinking’ while ‘remaining in the world like Jesus was in the world’. We are to be ‘in the world but not of the world’ – Jesus couldn’t be clearer on this.

I believe that a pure and unspotted church that accurately reflects Jesus is what the world needs to see and encounter.

To watch an empowering and essential truth from Sally, I highly recommend Discernment in the Prophetic. This is a must word for many.
