Good morning ambassadors of the Lord Jesus Christ

I would like to point our attention to two little phrases that I believe should become a focus of prayer for all of us this year.

Matthew 5:13a You are the salt of the earth.

Matthew 5:14a You are the light of the world.

Oh how desperately we need a change in our world today. You just have to turn on the TV, pick up the newsletter, listen to music, watch movies or listen to the conversations that go on everywhere and we see darkness all around. It seems the darkness is increasing and becoming more blatant. Things that were not tolerated are now not only tolerated but willingly accepted. Darkness that was ‘dark’ is now ‘gray’ at best but often even considered ‘light’. The lines are blurred, the truth is debatable and we are all in the same boat.

Or are we?

Surely God’s agenda hasn’t changed. Surely His heart is still the same as it has always been: to see people come into relationship with Him. Surely His methods haven’t changed either: He wants to be seen in and through us
