#5617 – Praise the Lord

Good morning people who celebrate the goodness of God even in the difficulties of life.

Psalms 32:11 NIV Rejoice in the Lord and be glad, you righteous; sing, all you who are upright in heart!

One of the greatest weapons we have against the enemy in times of trouble is our decision to verbalise our praise to God.

Let’s be honest, praising God is sometimes the last thing we ‘feel’ like doing. I am not exempt from this, and nor are you. Sometimes complaining feels better than praising (was that too honest for you?).

But praise always looks good on us, and praise is always right and good for a follower of Jesus Christ!

Here’s a few well-known verses that further articulates this truth:

Philippians 4:4 NIV Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 NIV Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

If we still have questions on when it is a good time to praise the Lord, here’s a scripture that makes it very clear:

Psalms 113:1-3 NIV Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord, you his servants; praise the name of the Lord. Let the name of the Lord be praised, both now and forevermore. From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the Lord is to be praised.

I encourage you to lift your voice in praise-filled song today. God is worthy of our praise.
