Good morning people who pursue deeper intimacy with our Creator God.
Let me ask you a question:
What satisfies you the most?
We were created in the form and likeness of God. Because of this, intimacy with God was possible. Now, because of our new life in Christ through God’s grace, God’s original desire is to once again be the greatest pursuit of our lives.
Here’s what King David wrote:
Psalms 17:15 NKJV As for me, I will see Your face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied when I awake in Your likeness.
Oh, to be more like Jesus! And in this one verse, David gives us insight into how this happens best: ‘I will see Your face in righteousness.’
When we truly see the Lord, we can’t help but be changed! A true transformation happens when our gaze is on the eternal God and King of glory. Striving falls away as we are ‘undone’ in the majesty of His beauty.
David also declares that ‘I shall be satisfied when I awake in Your likeness.’ Oh, for this to be true of us all.
The greatest satisfaction is reserved for the one who is fixated on the glory of God!
I am desiring this more than ever! I want to see God accurately! I want to know God intimately! And, while I thank God for what I have tasted and seen so far, I earnestly yearn for more, for much more!
How strong is your desire for a greater revelation of God?
