#5575 – Frontline Warriors

Good morning people who have enlisted in the army of God for kingdom advancement.

2 Corinthians 10:4-5 NIV The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

I heard the Lord say that we are on the frontline of a battle, not the front row of a concert.

At a concert, you pay a price to be entertained. It’s all about watching and enjoying.

In a battle, you pay a much higher price to gain a victory.

Battles aren’t fought and won from armchairs. They are fought and won on the battlefield.

The people of God are in a spiritual battle. I don’t think this is a revelation to anyone, but I believe it is something we often forget or want to run away from. We can’t, and if we try to do so, it is to our own detriment.

Battles are real. Battles are messy and they are dangerous. Battles take strategy and effort to win.

Our starting position is victory in Christ, and this must not be understated. “It is finished” is a glorious reality and truth that is literally power to God’s people!

But we must embrace it. There is both the submitting to God and the resisting of the enemy that is needed in this spiritual battle. Being led by emotions and feelings will not win us spiritual battles.

Standing strong in the Lord and in His mighty power is needed, and this is synonymous with being clothed with Christ and being led by the Holy Spirit. This battle is spiritual, and because of Christ in us, we are more than conquerors!

May we follow the example of Jesus when He was in the wilderness being tempted by the devil. His weapon of choice was, “It is written!” God’s Word is powerful to the overcoming of the enemy and his plans!

It’s time to pick up our sword and fight the good fight of faith. With God, we are well able!
