#5573 – Father’s Love

Good morning people who are deeply loved by your heavenly Father.

John 5:19-20 NIV Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does. Yes, and he will show him even greater works than these, so that you will be amazed.”

I absolutely love the connection between the Father’s love for Jesus and the Father showing Jesus what He is doing! I pray you see this picture clearly today.

Imagine a natural father who absolutely loves his young child. When the father is working out in the shed, the young son is watching Daddy work. Although the father could do all the work himself, he lifts up his child and involves him in what he is doing. I’ve seen this on some renovation programs and it delights my heart.

You delight your heavenly Father’s heart and He loves to involve you in what He is doing!

The Son of God watched His Father work, and then the Son of God actively participated ‘on earth as it is in heaven.’ This is our example to follow! Oh, what a joy! Oh, what a privilege.

But we must look to see what Father is doing. We can’t expect to just be blindsided by Father while we are busy in our own little world. We must invite Him in. We must fix our eyes on Him. We must let Him lead.

May today we a day of divine perspective and divine participation.
