Good morning people who listen to what God wants to say through you.
Luke 12:11-12 NIV “When you are brought before synagogues, rulers and authorities, do not worry about how you will defend yourselves or what you will say, for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say.”
In the days of Jesus and the early church, being arrested and questioned was a common occurrence. People’s faith was under scrutiny and the consequences for believing could be fatal.
And yet Jesus said, that in these times, don’t worry about defending yourself or trying to choose the right words. Why? Because He said the Holy Spirit will teach you in the moment what to say!
We might not be getting physically arrested (yet), but there most certainly is a rising tide of verbal opposition to true followers of Jesus.
Casual Christianity – a contradiction in itself – is not a threat to the enemy, but fervent followers pose a big threat to the devil’s evil intentions and relentless attacks.
I feel the Holy Spirit say that many Christians are not even being attacked, and yet they are still careless with their words, especially on social media and against other believers. This ought not to be!
As the days are darkening and the attacks are increasing, will you be a person who is following Jesus closely enough to hear what the Holy Spirit is truly saying?
Will you be bold and obedient enough to speak the truth in love in these times?
I pray we all will be, for the glory of God.
