#5475 – Sent Ahead

Good morning people who are sent out each day with a sense of holy commission.

Luke 10:1 NIV After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go.

Your job (your place of employment) is simply a vehicle for God to be seen through you. Oh, how I feel a shift needs to take place in many people’s perception!

Wherever Jesus went, miracles happened! People encountered the Father through Jesus. The Holy Spirit moved in power through Jesus. Eternal destinies were changed through Jesus.

And according to this verse above, part of the preparation for Jesus doing the miraculous was appointing and sending His disciples ahead of Him to every town and place where He Himself was about to go. This is powerful!

God wants to move in your family and in your place of employment! God wants to move in government and in every sphere of society. God wants no one to perish, but everyone to come into relationship with Him and His Father. This is His earnest desire.

He could just do it all Himself, but this is not what He chose to do! It wasn’t in this verse, it wasn’t with the early apostles, and it isn’t in our world today.

Like John the Baptist came to prepare the way for the Lord, you and I are called to prepare the way for the Lord too! We are to live like heralds, announcing the arrival of the King!
