Good morning people God lifts up

Psalm 37:23-24 (The Amplified Bible) The steps of a (good) man are directed and established by the Lord when He delights in his way (and He busies Himself with his every step). Though he falls, he shall not be utterly cast down, for the Lord grasps his hand in support and upholds him.

Part of my challenge this year is trying to make myself good enough to enter God’s presence. I have robbed many intimate moments with my Father because I have got things wrong in my thinking.

Sometimes we can ‘unintentionally’ do the following. We fall and realise that we have done the wrong thing. We then pick ourselves up and have a ‘season of repentance’ so that we can ‘reconnect’ with our heavenly Father who has obviously pulled back due to disappointment in us.

But look at what verse 24 says!

When we fall (which we all will), we don’t fall into a bottomless pit of despair that we cannot escape from because God is holding on to us! That’s what it says! So if that is the case, God is not far away and waiting for us to ‘clean ourselves up’ again; He is there all the time and He is reaching out to us and supporting us and upholding us.

Why? Because He DELIGHTS in us! What, even when we fall? Yes! We are still His children and HE LOVES US AND DELIGHTS IN US! His greatest desire is to keep the relationship close.
