Good morning people who have an increasing confidence in God.
Mary, the mother of Jesus, declared the following faith-filled words to an angel who had been sent from God:
Luke 1:38 NKJV Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.
If Mary had the confidence to say this to an angel – a messenger sent by God – how much more are we to put our full trust in the God who is completely trust-worthy!
I am stirred in the area of believing God. Yes, it’s wonderful and necessary to believe in God, but it is even more essential, that once we believe in God, that we live in the reality of believing God.
If God has declared something in His Word, do we believe it with all of our heart?
Do the steps of faith and obedience give evidence to this reality?
The following words of Jesus are a call up to a higher level of confidence in Him:
Mark 11:22-24 NIV “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
Let’s lean into this further tomorrow.
