Good morning people who constantly point people to Jesus Christ.

There are three scriptures that the Lord has drawn me towards this morning. These are scriptures that I have meditated on many times and I have written about in BIY. And yet the Lord wants to repeat them. So, that’s what I will do.

Here’s the first scripture:

John 12:32-33 NIV “And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.” He said this to show the kind of death he was going to die.

In context, Jesus is telling His disciples how He is going to die. But there is also a prophetic truth that can be seen in verse 32 for all of us today.

When it comes to other people, our responsibility is to lift Jesus up.

Too often our focus is on trying to draw people to Jesus. We are planning and strategising how we can get people to accept Jesus, and then once they do, how they can serve Jesus.

Yet it is the work of Jesus through the Holy Spirit that draws people to God!

Every person that has ever been saved was saved through the Holy Spirit drawing them and revealing truth to them. This is what He does so incredibly well.

So, my encouragement today is this: Stop trying to be the Holy Spirit.

Yes, bubble over in delight about Jesus, talk about who He is and what He has done, but don’t take on the responsibility of trying to draw people to God. The Holy Spirit does this, and He does it best as we lift Him up from the earth.
