Good morning people who give up the throne of your heart for the Lord to sit on.
As I was reading back through my journal, I found a prayer that I prayed. I feel to share it with you and to encourage you with the truth Father is saying. Here it is:
“I come back to You Father and to You Jesus and to You Holy Spirit. I come back to You God. I repent of sitting on the throne of my heart and for making me the focus of my life. Forgive me Lord for being self-centered. I have now stepped off the throne and I refuse to step back on. The throne is Your rightful place. Yes, there is a throne of authority that You desire me to sit on, but it should only be sat on when You are sitting on the throne of my heart. I repent. I submit. I receive. May my entire life be about You and for You and for Your glory.”
I want to pick up on this line that I found myself praying:
“Yes, there is a throne of authority that You desire me to sit on, but it should only be sat on when You are sitting on the throne of my heart.”
God is looking for sons and daughters who walk in His delegated kingdom authority. He desires this and the world needs this.
But a key word is delegated. God’s authority is not something we take, nor is it something that we should use outside of surrender to His Lordship.
Submitted people are powerful people. Unsubmitted people are dangerous people.
May we all be people who give everything for the glory of God. And may we all be people who enter into the fulness of what Father wants to do in us and through us.
Amen.
