Good morning people God cares about
I can’t shake this verse about God’s comfort, yet there is more. We have seen that we need to look to God as our Source and not man. We also saw that we need to look for peace in the storm, and not wait for the removal of the storm.
Today I want to let you know that God feels your pain and hurt and He hurts with you. You might not have heard this before but you need to hear it today. The above two points are not saying ‘just get over it’, by no means. Some of the challenges are so deep that our heart breaks. God’s heart breaks with us.
There’s a story in John 11 about the death of Lazarus and the deep sorrow that his sisters, Mary & Martha felt. Now have a look at the following verses and place yourself in this story.
John 11:33-35 When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come along with her also weeping, He was deeply moved in spirit and troubled. “Where have you laid him?” He asked. “Come and see, Lord,” they replied. Jesus wept.
What a profound verse, ‘Jesus wept’. Two words that show God’s incredible heart for us. When you weep about things that deeply trouble you, I believe the heart of God feels your pain and He comes along side and identifies with you. He also cares for you. Remember it was said about Jesus that ‘He was a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief’. He knows. He cares. He feels your pain.
