Good morning people who are deeply loved by a merciful and kind God.
1 Samuel 12:22 NIV For the sake of his great name the Lord will not reject his people, because the Lord was pleased to make you his own.
The Lord’s reputation is so important. God’s long-suffering, patience and mercy towards us is for His name’s sake. This is such an essential truth that needs to be understood and embraced.
We often feel unworthy, and therefore, we make receiving forgiveness from the Lord all about us. The truth is, we are unworthy and we do need God’s forgiveness.
But we must be realigned that it is first and foremost about the Lord and His name’s sake. When we do not accept and walk in God’s forgiveness, yes we harm ourselves, but we also dishonour His name.
We must also come into a deeper revelation that the Lord was pleased to make us His own. This is powerful and life-giving!
God is not a reluctant God. He takes pleasure in calling us His own!
God created us because He desired relationship with us. This is incredible beyond words!
You are valued, you are loved, you are cherished.
And it is this God who is worthy of our all. He is glorified by us being fully alive in Him.
