#5350 – Return to God

Good morning people who do not let your sin keep you from your God.

The children of Israel sinned with great regularity. It’s quite frightening how much their hearts were turned towards rebellion.

In the verse we are about to read, they have just rebelled again. But I want you to see the words of the prophet Samuel to them:

1 Samuel 12:20 NIV “Do not be afraid,” Samuel replied. “You have done all this evil; yet do not turn away from the Lord, but serve the Lord with all your heart.”

Samuel’s response was a response of grace. He acknowledged their wrong doing, yet he directed them to turn to the Lord.

He makes the statement first of ‘do not be afraid’. This once again speaks of the heart of our relentless God of love, mercy and forgiveness. It is honestly beyond human comprehension that God has so much patience with us!

Today, I simply want to point some of you back to God. Yes, you might have missed the mark again, but God’s grace is greater than your sin.

Turn to God and He will forgive you and answer you. He truly is for you.
