#5325 – Overflow for Others

Good morning people who don’t live a ‘just enough’ life for yourself.

Psalms 23:5 NIV You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

I am seeing the image of a cup that has something in it, but it is just enough for the individual who has the cup.

That person might understandably think, “I have enough.”

But is this the right question to ask ourselves?

The right and better question is this:

Are others receiving enough from God through me?

Jesus came to give His life for us so that we can encounter the Father and live life to the full.

In this world, we are called to be like Jesus.

Others should drink from the overflow of our life in Christ, and as a result, they themselves are able to step into the fullness of who God is.

This is the purpose of the overflow.
