Good morning people living for the Father

At the age of 12, Jesus and his parents went to Jerusalem for the Feast of Passover. After the Feast was over, Joseph and Mary left but Jesus was not with them. After a day they realised He was not in their company so they went looking for Him. They found Him in the temple.

When they asked Him what He was doing, His response was something that I believe applies to all of us today.

Luke 2:49 “Why were you searching for me?” He asked, “Didn’t you know I had to be about my Father’s business?”

What a powerful little statement. Jesus declared early in His life that He was not here simply to live life as He pleased but He was here to do the will of His Father; He was here doing His Father’s business.

You and I are here for the same reason. Do not get caught up in the system and the race of life that consumes, but STOP and ensure you have a sense of privilege and responsibility
