Good morning people who pursue unity in the Spirit of God with the children of God.
John 17:20-21 NIV “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”
Jesus asked His Father that all of His disciples may be one, just as the Father is in Jesus and Jesus is in the Father. You can’t get closer or more unified than this!
Oneness in Spirit is a big deal to God. In fact, it’s most important, and it is a game changer.
And Jesus makes it clear why He was praying for this.
It wasn’t so that the disciples could feel good or so that they could get along.
His prayer was so that the world may believe that the Father sent Jesus! Once more, we see that lost people matter greatly to God.
It’s important to note that Christians being in unity of Spirit is what will point a lost people to the Lord.
It’s time for the church to be on the same page! Not our own page based on our own opinion or preference or desire, but on God’s page!
It’s time for unity in the Spirit.
