Good morning people who understand that the world hates the Word of God.

John 17:14 NIV “I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world.”

Too often, Christians are surprised that the world is so contrary to the Word of God. We can’t understand how depraved, intolerant and anti-Christian the world system is, and it seems to be accelerating in its celebration of evil and rejection of truth.

Yet 2,000 years ago, Jesus was praying to His Father and He made the connection between God’s Word and the hatred that the world has for it. And He didn’t stop there.

Jesus also made it clear that He had given the Father’s Word to His own disciples, and as a result, the world hated them. The same is true today.

Why?

Because there is a different operating system at work. One is of the Spirit of God and one is of the devil. One is dedicated to all that is good and the other to all that is evil. This is the battle that has gone on since the fall of man in Genesis 3.

These are days when the gap between believer and unbeliever is widening. Well, the truth is that it is and has always been immeasurable – remember, it is the difference between life and death – but to us, the darkness appears to be getting darker.

Here’s what I am saying: What is happening is not a new thing. The world system hated Jesus, and He said that it also hated His disciples. And this is what we are increasingly experiencing today.

Let’s look at what Jesus prayed about this tomorrow – it’s very good news.
