Good morning people who listen to what the Spirit is prophetically declaring.
John 16:12-13 NIV “I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.”
Jesus is the Word and He spoke the truth. He left the earth and sent the Holy Spirit to continue guiding us into all the truth. The Holy Spirit only speaks what He hears from the Father in heaven.
And He will tell us what is yet to come!
We are not doomed to stumbling around in the dark, not knowing what will happen, and not devoid of hope! The Spirit of God knows from the heart of the Father what is happening and what will yet happen.
Some people in the church believe and preach that God only speaks through the Bible. They say that the days of the Holy Spirit speaking to people directly is over.
Many who believe this have a sincere heart of wanting the purity and authority of God’s written Word to be upheld. They are not anti-Holy Spirit. They are anti-people going in a different direction to God’s clearly stated Word, and doing so under the guise of “God told me.”
I pray you are hearing the Holy Spirit whispering to your heart right now – it’s time to be wise and Holy Spirit led when we talk about things in the body of Christ that are done differently than what we believe. In fact, I started writing something very different after the previous paragraph, and the Holy Spirit stopped me and told me to write what I have just written.
And so where does Father want us to land in this BIY today?
Well, for one, He desires His children to live in unity, even when we see some things differently. He doesn’t want us attacking those with different beliefs.
Also, I believe that He wants us to come back to the very clear instruction of scripture, and that is, the Holy Spirit still speaks personally today. Yes, some abuse this truth by making their own decisions from their own desires and will, and they say that God told them. But let’s not throw out truth because of error. Let’s reclaim truth, and in this case, the truth is too wonderful for words: The Holy Spirit still speaks today!
