Good morning people who celebrate the life of the Spirit who lives in us.

John 16:7 NIV “But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.”

Jesus said that it was for the disciples good that He was going away.

Naturally speaking, this is crazy! Naturally speaking, walking with Jesus in the flesh is the highest pinnacle that comes to mind. It would be glorious!

But the truth was, Jesus was only ever in one place at a time. He was not omnipresent while He lived as a man. Therefore, not everyone could be with Jesus all of the time. In fact, no one was ever with Jesus all of the time.

Now the very name Emmanuel is made so very real in the gift of the person of God the Holy Spirit! He came to be with us and to live in us! How glorious!!

And He is also the advocate; He is the counsellor, the comforter, the defence lawyer who stands in the gap with us before our Father in heaven. He is the wisdom and the revelation of God. He is the one who breathes truth into our heart.

Oh the delightful majestic wonder of God in us!
