Good morning people who live lives and speak words that point to Jesus.

John 15:26-27 NIV “When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father—the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father—he will testify about me. And you also must testify, for you have been with me from the beginning.”

It is absolutely true that the Holy Spirit was sent from the Father to reveal the Son. No one can be saved outside of Holy Spirit revelation of who Jesus is!

But we too have a part to play!

Jesus tells His disciples – and this applies to you and I today – that we must testify also!

There is a nice sounding but totally inaccurate statement that Christians like to use. It’s this: Preach Jesus, and if necessary, use words.

In other words, people are saying, “Just let your life be the message – you don’t need to preach.”

If this was the case, Jesus never would have preached and He never would have made it abundantly clear who He was through the words that He spoke. His life would have been enough. Yet He preached!

And so too does the Holy Spirit reveal Jesus. How? Through words whispered by the Spirit into people’s hearts.

So, my friends, let’s live lives that are worth following and that result in people asking us questions about the hope inside of us. But let’s also be bold and loving enough to speak the truth about who Jesus is.
