#5140 – Father, Son & Holy Spirit

Good morning people who are fully indwelt by the fullness of God.

John 14:23 NIV Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.”

As we journey deeper into the words of Jesus as He talks about His Father, Himself and the Holy Spirit, I am realising more and more how inseparable the three of them are. I am also realising that our human language is insufficient to articulate spiritual realities.

In this verse, we see another mystery – one that draws us deeper into the love of God.

We know that the Holy Spirit lives in us, and we know that our Father and Jesus are in heaven. This is fully true.

Yet Jesus says that He and His Father will come to anyone who loves Him and obeys His teaching, and they – the Father and the Son – will make their home with those people.

Perhaps you need a moment to think about this. More accurately, meditate on this in the Spirit, because thinking about it will only cause more confusion and questions.

We must get past our own understanding as we enter into the deeper realms of spiritual truth.

The Holy Spirit lives in us. Jesus lives in us. The Father lives in us. This is all true because Jesus said it.

It is true that you and I can only be in one place at a time. But we must remember that God – the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit – are omnipresent. This literally means ‘present everywhere, at the same time.’

This is either true or it’s not. And if it is (which it is), then the fullness of God – the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit – all make their home in the obedient sons and daughters of God.

Selah.
