#5136 – Unique Yet Indivisible

Good morning people who have the Spirit of God living in you.

John 14:17-18 NIV the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.”

God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are all unique, yet indivisible.

Jesus told His disciples that He must leave them, but that the Father will send the Holy Spirit to be with them and to live in them. He follows this up by saying that He will not leave them as orphans because He will come to them.

Yes, there is a second coming of Jesus at the end of the age. He will literally come again in the most glorious display of glory imaginable. Everything will change at that time. Oh what a wonderful day that will be!

But it is also true that the Spirit of Jesus is the Holy Spirit. Jesus came to live in our heart through the Holy Spirit, yet Jesus is sitting at the right hand of the Father (and He’s preparing a home for us in His Father’s house).

And then there’s the truth that we are not orphans because of the Father adopting us as His sons and daughters. He did this through the Spirit of God, and yet Jesus equates us not being orphans with Him coming to us.

I wrote all of that, not to confuse you, but to enlarge your vision of God; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. If you have one, you have them all. This is the way that it works.

These two following scriptures are both true:

Galatians 2:20 NIV I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

1 Corinthians 6:19 NIV Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own.

We are blessed beyond measure to have the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
