Good morning believers who believe Jesus when He speaks.
John 14:11 NIV “Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves.”
Jesus said, “Believe Me when I say…”
The truth is, everything Jesus speaks is the truth. Everything He says is to be believed because He cannot lie. Jesus is completely trustworthy.
Yet there were many occasions when He said, “Believe Me”, or when He said, “I tell you the truth.” Naturally, these are redundant statements to me because He can always be believed because He only speaks the truth.
Yet, the times Jesus said these words, He followed them by stating something that was beyond human comprehension.
Here’s the truth about the Truth today: Jesus can be trusted, fully, always, including on the statements that sound “unbelievable”.
In John 1:1 Jesus said, “You believe in God; believe also in Me.” And in this verse above, Jesus said, “Believe Me when I say…”
“Believe in Me.” Jesus can be trusted to be our Saviour. He is the hope of the world and the salvation for the lost. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. He is the doorway to the Father; to His Father and to our Father. There is no substitute to believing in Jesus.
“Believe Me.” We can also confidently trust everything that Jesus says. He does not lie and He does not mislead. Jesus speaks only what He hears from heaven. His words are creative and His words are true. There is no deceit in anything Jesus speaks.
I hear Jesus say today, “Believe in Me.” I also hear Him say, “Believe Me.” Both are essential.
