#5117 – Jesus the Truth

Good morning people who come through Jesus to the Father.

John 14:5-6 NIV Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?” Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

As we are stepping through John 14 and looking at who God is, I am loving seeing more accurately the context of what Jesus is saying.

Jesus is the way to the place where He is going to take us to be forever in our Father’s house.

Jesus is also the truth to this most wonderful and glorious place; this paradise of eternal with God the Father.

In the age that we live in – and indeed throughout the history of the world – mankind prides itself on its inclusivity of ‘all religions lead to the same God’. This is simply a lie. In fact, the thought itself is from the devil.

The truth about the way to eternal life is Jesus. Did you hear that? Jesus is the way and the truth; Jesus is the truth about the way to our Father’s house.

Truth is not relative or personal or inclusive to whomsoever has a thought or a desire for something to be so. That’s not how life works – the natural life or eternal life.

Truth is a person, not just an idea or a belief.

Truth is Jesus, and all that He speaks is the truth. And the truth from the Truth is that He alone is the way to the Father. No one else. Nothing else.

Best efforts aren’t enough. Hard work is not enough. Being kind is not enough. Doing good is not enough.

Jesus is enough because He is the truth about the way to the Father.
