Good morning people who have made up your mind to honour God above all else.

Matthew 5:10-12 NIV “Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

We are entering a time of persecution in the western world. This is a reality that we need to be aware of.

Therefore, we need to settle now where our allegiance lies. We need to choose this day who we will serve. We need to know ahead of time which path we will take – compromise or conviction.

As the truth, Jesus was persecuted. When He spoke the truth, Jesus was persecuted. And so were the early apostles.

Why?

Because the true gospel – as glorious as it is – is also offensive to those who don’t want to hear it. As there is freedom in the truth, there is also bondage in the lie. And deception is blinding the eyes of many.

So, I declare by the Spirit of God, will you choose to face persecution for the honour of who God is and the truth of what He declares?

May the Lord empower us to stand for righteousness no matter what.
