Good morning people who see Jesus as the ascended son of God.
I believe that one of the things that will release a deeper level of rest into our lives is seeing Jesus as He is now.
For many, our only view of Jesus is as a man who walked the earth. This is glorious and without it we would not have the gift of salvation that we have. I thank God for the gift of sending His son to earth.
But He is not here now! He is not a man now! He is the ascended and seated son of God! He is blazing in glory and majesty and honour! This is who Jesus is now!
Think about what happened when Isaiah saw the Lord seated on the throne, and what happened when the apostle John saw Jesus as He is now. It was not casual and familiar – it was awe-filled and holy! It was life-changing and life-giving! It released deep revelation and transformation!
May we all see the Lord as He truly is.
Isaiah 6:1-4 NIV In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple. Above him were seraphim, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. And they were calling to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.” At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled with smoke.
Revelation 1:12-16 NIV I turned around to see the voice that was speaking to me. And when I turned I saw seven golden lampstands, and among the lampstands was someone like a son of man, dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash around his chest. The hair on his head was white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire. His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters. In his right hand he held seven stars, and coming out of his mouth was a sharp, double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance.
