Good morning people who were created to be led by the voice of God.

Genesis 2:16-17 NIV And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”

Mankind was not created to be led by a written law. Remember, the Law was not given to Moses and the children of Israel until after they had been brought out of Egypt (Exodus 20).

Mankind was created to be led by a divine voice! This is how God intended it to be.

God walked with people. God spoke with people. People lived freely by hearing and obeying God’s voice. No law was needed.

In fact, it’s insightful that God told Adam not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Think about this. Adam & Eve did not know what was good or evil; right or wrong. They didn’t need to know! (Go with me here – lean in to what God is showing us.)

God’s original plan was for people to have an intimate relationship with Him, where His voice was heard and His voice was responded to. As long as this happened, freedom was the result.
