Good morning blameless people of God
The following verses are a great prayer for us to pray.
Psalm 19:12-13 Who can discern his errors? Forgive my hidden faults. Keep your servant also from wilful sins: may they not rule over me. Then will I be blameless, innocent of great transgression.
I really see the heart of God and His love for us in this. Sometimes we go on a hunt to find out what else we need to change and repent of. It’s not a healthy way to live.
In this passage we see an honest acknowledgement; who can really discern his errors? What I see as wrong, you may see as right and vice-versa. I can’t just trust what I think; I need God’s help. I’m reminded of the following verse.
Psalm 139:23-24 Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
Let’s simply open up to the work of the Holy Spirit; let Him search our hearts and let Him lead us on. And have a look at the words in Psalm 19: Forgive my hidden faults and keep me from wilful sins; the things I don’t even know about and things that are intentional. He then asks God to help him not be ruled by his sinful nature; what a great prayer.
The wonderful result of living a life like this is we will be blameless. May we all know God’s peace as He leads us on.
