Good morning people who are delightful to be around because of God in you.
Colossians 4:7 NIV Tychicus will tell you all the news about me. He is a dear brother, a faithful minister and fellow servant in the Lord.
As I read these words from Paul, I just love his description of Tychicus! I pray that this will be the testimony of our lives too.
He is a dear brother. Every believer is a brother or sister. We are family. Yes, we see and do some things differently, but we have a bond that is greater than our differences and His name is Jesus! Tychicus was a dear brother to Paul – someone he had a lot of affection for because he did Paul good.
He is a faithful minister. Paul said he is faithful to the Lord and he is faithful to me. He is trustworthy and reliable. He is not fleeting or casual. He is committed and he is sold out for the cause of Christ.
He is a fellow servant in the Lord. He is not puffed up or proud. It’s not all about him. He loves to do everything as unto the Lord.
And it’s this kind of man that Paul said will inform the church about how he (Paul) is doing.
This is important because it will not be a ‘woe is me’ session about the pain of prison, but it will be a faith-filled report about all that God is doing.
Don’t we need more conversations like this today!
May we all do others good by our living example of Jesus Christ.
