#4934 – Celebration & Agreement

Good morning people who honour God with every part of your life.

Colossians 3:17 NIV And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

As we seek to honour God in every word and deed this year, here’s a great question to ask:

Can I give thanks to God the Father for what I am about to say and do?

Maybe you want to ask it another way:

Can I see Father clap in celebration and nod in agreement with how I am about to treat this person and with what I am about to do?

If not, don’t do it!

I hear some of you say, “Steve, it’s not that simple.”

I respond by saying, “Why not?”

I have said it many times, but let me repeat it again: God’s way works.

The absolute bottom-line truth of the matter is this: We often don’t do or say what glorifies God because we don’t want to or we don’t feel like it. We really need to be a bit more honest with ourselves.

So, today, let’s all receive the encouragement and loving rebuke of God where necessary. Let’s come back to living in the daily truth of this powerful truth.

Colossians 3:17 NIV And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
