Good morning people who grow to become more like Jesus Christ.

Colossians 3:9-10 NIV Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.

This is interesting language and it is very insightful.

When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, we put on our new self. This is instantaneous and it is complete. In this moment, death turns to life!

But Paul writes that our new self which we have put on in this moment, is now being renewed.

Well which one is it Paul – is it new or is it being renewed?

Here’s the truth. Our nature is new the moment we are saved, but our lifestyle often undergoes a process called sanctification as our mind is renewed to think more like Christ.
