#4886 – Search for Wisdom

Good morning people who go on a treasure hunt in the Lord Jesus Christ.

I went to move onto the next verse in our meditation through the Book of Colossians, but I saw something else in the verses we have been looking at. Here it is:

Colossians 2:1-3 NIV I want you to know how hard I am contending for you and for those at Laodicea, and for all who have not met me personally. My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Too often we want things to come easily and automatically. Sometimes they do, but in God, mostly they come through eagerly desiring, stirring up, persevering and seeking first.

The wisdom and knowledge of God (which is found in a deeper revelation of Christ) is written in the context of the words ‘the mystery of God’ and ‘hidden all the treasures.’

What am I saying?

There is gold in God to be discovered if we are willing to mine for it. There are hidden treasures of wisdom and knowledge to be entered into for those who are willing to earnestly seek God.

The mystery and hidden treasure of God is a realm of delight that is on the other side of the doorway of eagerness and intentionality.

And the most wonderful part from God’s perspective and design is, in the seeking, we find Him on deeper levels. After all, that is what it is all about.
