#481 – He Who Dwells

Good morning beloved of the Most High

My prayer is for the precious Word of God to declare truth deep into our spirit and soul. You might find yourself in a challenging season right now. God knows, God sees and God cares. His desire and intention is to ‘do you good and not to harm you’. He adores you. You bring Him delight and pleasure. He is your Father. He is your God. You are His child. You are His beloved.

I encourage you to memorise this verse that we are about to look at over the next few days. Read it daily, read it several times, read it slowly. Write it down, meditate on it and allow it to change your thinking. Your God loves you and that’s great news.

Psalm 91:1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

What an incredible promise from the Most High!

He who dwells…this word means ‘to remain, to settle, to marry’. Our time under the shelter of the Most High should not be ‘passing through, a short visit or a casual affair’. This is a strong word that talks about being ‘permanently established’. Another verse in the Bible talks about being ‘rooted and grounded in love’. John 15 tells us to abide in the vine; to stay connected at all times. You see our life is in the connection. Our connection is the most important thing in life. This takes daily intentionality. This takes commitment. This takes pausing long enough to sit, to soak, to delight, to snuggle close…he who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

Are you dwelling in the shelter of the Most High?
