Good morning passionate Christ-followers

Philippians 2:5 Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus.

This is about the biggest statement in the Bible! What an impossibly high level to aim for. But we must. Our desire, our prayer, our pursuit must be to become more like Jesus and it starts with our heart. It starts with how we think and our attitudes.

What are some of the attitudes Jesus had? It’s a good question. Maybe another way of asking it is to analysis each attitude we have today and then ask “Would Jesus have had that attitude?”

Was Jesus ever impatient? I think He was but I’m not sure He was ever impatient with the things that I get impatient with. Maybe He was more impatient with those who misused the temple and with pious religious leaders who put burdens on people.

Was Jesus ever angry? Yes, again He was and primarily for the same reasons. But I don’t think He was ever angry simply because He didn’t get His own way (which is more than I can say for me!)

Was Jesus ever selfish? No He wasn’t. The Bible makes it clear; Jesus only did what the Father asked Him to do
