Good morning people who rely upon the grace of God

When you say NO to temptation, you say NO to heavy burdens and baggage that will weigh you down, and more often than not, damage relationships deeply.

We must understand the heart of God. This is not about God wanting to make us good. This is about God wanting to set people free and keep people free. This is the heart of the Father for us His children.

I love the truth and the power of this scripture:

Hebrews 4:15-16 NIV For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Mercy is needed when we have sinned, and it is available from the throne of God. If you are feeling the weight of sin today, go to God, humbly, genuinely, and in repentance, but also with confidence. God will hear you, forgive you and heal you.

Grace is needed when we are tempted to sin, and it too is available from the throne of God. God’s greater desire is not to give us mercy after we have sinned, but it is to give us grace to not sin in the first place. Again, it’s all about the freedom for which Christ has set us free!
