Good morning people who live your life ruled by truth

We have drawn two wrong conclusions about desires.

Firstly, because I have desires that aren’t always right, I have a sinful nature called the flesh.

Without the opportunity to choose the right way or the wrong way, there cannot be free will, and therefore, there cannot be love. Think about this.

If we are born again, the wrong desires we have are not due to a sinful nature, but due to fiery darts of the enemy coming against us externally. This is what happened with Adam and Eve, and it also happened with Jesus.

Secondly, because I have desires, it must be right, and it must be who I am.

Oh, how this is derailing an increasing amount of people, both in the world and in the Church!

Desire doesn’t determine validity! What God has said determines validity! Origin matters!

The answer, the antidote and the prevention is to truly walk in the Spirit; in humility and submission to His Lordship.

Galatians 5:16-17 NIV So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want.
