#4642 – Faith & Questions

Good morning people who obey God even when you have questions

Hebrews 11:32 NIV And what more shall I say? I do not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson and Jephthah, about David and Samuel and the prophets.

The story of Gideon is a fascinating story found in Judges 6-8.

The first thing I see as I read Gideon’s story is this:

Gideon had questions when God spoke to him and called him.

Sometimes we have this wrong belief that we shouldn’t have any questions when God calls us to do something big. Read Gideon’s story!

Several times we see God speak to Gideon, and then Gideon responds with questions and asking for a sign.

Judges 6:14-15 NIV The Lord turned to him and said, “Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian’s hand. Am I not sending you?” “Pardon me, my lord,” Gideon replied, “but how can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family.”

And here’s the point:

Don’t deny your questions – go to God with your questions.

It’s ok, God can handle your struggles on your faith journey. He wants to go on the journey with you.

So, talk to Him. Wrestle through with God; don’t wrestle against God.
