Good morning people who choose the ways of God regardless of consequences
(Please watch an important video at the end of this post)
Hebrews 11:24-26 NIV By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin. He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward.
I see something interesting in the highlighted parts of these verses. It’s not easy, but it is essential for us to understand.
Sometimes we wrongly do an opposing measurement between the pleasures of sin and the pleasures of God. In truth, there is no comparison, because the pleasures of God are immeasurably more delightful than the pleasures of sin! PRAISE GOD!!!
But the comparison here is not that.
Moses chose to be mistreated along with the people of God and to suffer disgrace for the sake of Christ, rather than enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin.
Now this is another level of decision – between being mistreated and disgrace, and enjoying pleasure – and it is a completely different way of measuring what is most important.
We are entering into days where this decision is going to become the dividing line between those who profess to be Christians and those who actually follow Christ.
And so I prophetically and boldly challenge you ahead of time:
Which side of the line will you end up on? Will you choose the fleeting pleasures of sin, or will you choose to be mistreated along with the people of God and to suffer disgrace for the sake of Christ?
There will come a time when this choice will need to be made in your life and in mine.
