#4561 – Hope in God

Good morning people who continually remember the goodness of God

On this last day of what has been a difficult year for many, I want to leave you with this word of encouragement from a well-known scripture. In fact, the first part of this passage is repeated three times in two chapters by the Sons of Korah. This says to me, that sometimes we need to continually speak to ourselves and encourage ourselves in the Lord. May this be our testimony too.

Psalms 42:5-6 NIV Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God. My soul is downcast within me; therefore I will remember you from the land of the Jordan, the heights of Hermon—from Mount Mizar.

When the negative emotions and questions come, let’s turn our attention to praising God.

When the enemy throws those fiery darts of accusation or regret our way, let’s remember the Lord.

We are about to step into a new year, and I declare that it will be a year of victory in Christ Jesus! Let’s place and keep our hope in Him.
