#4523 – Turn to God

Good morning people who don’t get derailed by moments of sin

James 1:13-15 NIV When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.

Sin that is not dealt with will lead to death. Why? Because sin has an insatiable appetite that always desires more.

At this point, many Christians despair and become trapped further by the enemy. Many ask, “What if I have gone too far? What if I have committed the unpardonable sin?”

If you are asking that question and you have a desire to confess your sin and ask God to forgive you, then you haven’t gone too far.

Death awaits those who stubbornly refuse the grace of God, not for those who stumble along the way yet turn back to God.

I want to finish this part of James by pointing you clearly to the God who is full of compassion, kindness, mercy and grace. He is waiting for you. He wants to give you a fresh start. He wants to empower you to say YES to Him and NO to the devil.

Will you reach up and take His hand today?
