Good morning people who feed on and imbibe of what does you good

Philippians 4:9 NIV Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

Paul confidently commended himself as someone worth following, emulating and learning from. To some, this reeks of arrogance. But it is not. It is a God-confidence, not a self-confidence.

Paul did it tough. Paul’s list of afflictions, harassments, assaults, pain and suffering was immense (see 2 Corinthians 11:23-29). He was not preaching peace from an armchair. He was preaching it from prison. Therefore, his life and his teachings are worth taking heed to.

And that leads me to what Father wants to get our attention on today:

Who are you learning from, receiving from and imbibing from?

If you say no one, I say that you are incorrect. We are all being influenced by someone, it’s just a matter of who.

And here’s, the scary part: If this is not something that we are intentional and deliberate about in a godly way, it will be something that subtlety and naively happens through the deceptive, persuasive and evil of what is happening around us. Peace cannot be found in the later.

Is it time to realign today to a better way?
