#4467 – Laying Hold

Good morning people who refuse to be stopped from receiving from God

Sometimes we need to push through the natural to lay hold of the supernatural.

Effort should not be a dirty word for a Christian.

Salvation is a free gift and it is available to anyone who simply believes.

Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.

But once saved, the Bible is clear that persevering, not giving up, denying ourselves, not throwing away our confidence, putting on and putting off is all part of the process of stepping into and receiving what is available to us through Jesus Christ.

We need to dispel the lie that it is more difficult on us than on others. Difficult decisions need to be made daily by every Believer.

Yes, we are all saved by grace, but it is true that we must all push through the natural to lay hold of the supernatural.

By the power of the Holy Spirit, we are well able!!!

Romans 8:35-39 NIV Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
